- One of the orphans raised by Toyo, and therefore Bat's adoptive younger brother. Taki, 7 years old, left the village to find someone capable of drilling their water well. He becomes partially sighted from wandering in the sun for so long and almost falls to his death until Kenshiro grabs him.
- Taki wanders into Oasis where he's reunited with Kenshiro, along with Bat and Lin. He returns to Toyo's village with the three of them, only to sneak out at night to steal water from a neighboring village. Kenshiro follows after him but arrives too late to save Taki from a thug who kills him with a crossbow.
TV series[edit | edit source]
- In the TV series, Kenshiro cures Taki's blindness with the Jōkai (浄界) vital point. Taki steals water with Bat, and two of them manage to escape in the buggy only to be jumped by a group of thugs. However, Kenshiro arrives in time and saves the pair of them. Taki doesn't die in this continuity.
Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken[edit | edit source]
- A character resembling Taki appears in the 2006 movie Legend of Raoh: Chapter of Death in Love, with the name Kaito (カイト). Kenshiro rescues him from a group of bandits who are abducting children for the Holy Emperor. His injuries are treated by Toki's men and he is returned to his home village.
