Ein's young daughter, to whom he refers to as his "woman". In the TV series it was further established that she was his adopted daughter, whom he adopted from a young widow that used to take care of him. The widow was killed by bandits and Ein adopted Asuka as his own.
Asuka's mother is a widowed bartender when she first encounters Ein. Sometime later, after Ein had left their village, Asuka and her mother are abducted and taken to Yuda's castle. An army led by Shu and Ein attack the castle and set the captive women (including Mamiya) free. Asuka's mother does not survive, though, and Ein vows to take care of Asuka
