Before [[Kenshiro]] got to challenge Souther to their first battle, Souther sent out out Beji and Giji to measure Kenshirō's fighting ability. The two warriors surrounded Kenshirō with their knife throwing technique, but Kenshiro avoided their attacks and struck both warriors on their chest, hitting their respective ''Jikyūkyō'' vital points. This caused them to lose their sense of depth perception, and when they attempted to resume their attack on Kenshiro, they killed each other by throwing their knives into each others' faces.
