Beji (ベジ) and Giji (ギジ) were members of the Holy Emperor's army who practiced the martial art style of Nanto Sōzan Ken, a martial art which involves two practitioners juggling knives to each other.

Before Kenshirō got to challenge Souther to their first battle against each other, Souther sent out out Beji and Giji to measure Kenshirō's fighting ability. The two warriors manage to surround Kenshirō with their mutual knife throwing technique, but Kenshiro to avoid all the knives throw at him and struck both warriors on their chest, striking their respective Jikyūkyō vital points. This cause them to lose their sense of sight and when they attempted to perform their technique on Kenshirō again, they ended up killing each other by throwing their knives to each others' faces.
