Rem (レム, Remu): A young member of Shu's resistance movement who was captured by the Holy Emperor's army. He was one of the children lined up on the stairs of the Holy Emperor's Cross Mausoleum when Shu's life was sacrificed to complete the summit.

While Souther was climbing the stairs to confront Kenshiro, Rem charged at Souther and stabbed him in his thigh with a nail in an attempt to avenge Shu. However, instead of retaliating, Souther blamed Rem's actions on his emotions.

In the anime, the nail Rem uses to stab Souther is replaced with a knife.
