Raiga (ライガ) and Fūga (フウガ): The twin successors of Nishin Fūraiken (二神風雷拳, "Dual Gods Wind Thunder Fist"), a fighting style that can only be mastered by two practitioners with the same body, mind and emotions.

Manga & TV Series[edit | edit source]

They act as guardians of Cassandra but only serve Uighur because he is using their younger brother, Mitsu, as a hostage. When confronted by Kenshiro and company, they briefly fight Rei and surprise him with their style. After fighting Kenshiro, their lives are spared when Kenshiro senses the sadness reflected in their eyes. In turn, they join his cause, placing their faith in Kenshiro as the savior of Cassandra and its terrible legacy. Whilst trying to save Toki, they fall into a trap set by Qasim and Zarqa, of Ken-Oh's Royal Guard. Even after they are tortured to death, they hold the collapsed ceiling long enough for Kenshiro and the others to escape.

In the anime, we see Raiga & Fuga wipe out an armed group who attack Cassandra to free their imprisoned boss, slicing them and their jeep apart. They are labelled traitors for joining Kenshiro, and their brother is executed in front of them by one of Uighur's guards (while he lives in the manga continuity). We are also introduced to their master, Sojin, who had allied himself with Ken-Oh, and is sent to kill Kenshiro. The two brothers fight against him and overcome him with their superior technique, which Sojin acknowledges with his last breath.

They are killed by Burg in this version when the latter intends to trap Kenshiro, Toki, Rei and Mamiya inside the collapsing prison tower.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Raiga and Fuga are modeled after the Niō Agyō and Ungyō.
Their deaths are based on that of Musashibō Benkei.
In the TV series, Fuga's facial hair is missing, making it more difficult to distinguish between the twins.
