- Ukoku is the wise Elder (長老 Chōrō) of Lin's Village. When he first meets Kenshiro, he foretells grave misfortune after seeing the Hokuto Shichi Sei on his chest. After seeing Kenshiro strike Zeed with the Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken, he is able to correctly deduce the martial art as Hokuto Shinken. Lastly, Ukoku forbids Lin from following Kenshiro into the wastelands, a command she eventually ignores.
