Asam (アサム, Asamu): The ruler of the Sava Kingdom and Master of Daijō Nan Ken (大乗南拳, "Southern Fist of Mahayana"). He is the father of three spoiled sons (and one daughter) who quarrel over who will become his sucessor and rule the land. In his desperation, Asam attempts to hire Kenshiro to kill his three sons and prevent a civil war.
