Before Kenshiro got to challenge Souther to their first battle, Souther sent out Beji and Giji to measure Kenshiro's fighting worth. The two warriors surrounded Kenshiro with their knife-throwing technique, but Kenshiro avoided their attacks and struck both warriors on their chest, hitting their respective Jikyūkyō vital points. This caused them to lose their sense of depth perception, and when they attempted to resume their attack on Kenshiro, they killed each other by throwing their knives into each others' faces.

Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken

Beji and Giji appeared in the novelization of Raoh Den Junai no Shō. However, their role was omitted for the final movie.
