- Ein (アイン Ain)
- Ein was a famed tracker and bounty hunter who fought with an unorthodox street fighting style (ケンカ拳法 Kenka Kenpō). He was hired to capture Kenshiro, but after a brief conflict, he began to respect him. He often mentions keeping his "woman" happy, who turns out to be his adoptive daughter, Asuka. Ein protects her with his life and provides for her with his bounty.
- He sacrifices his life to rescue Bat, Lin and company, when they are trapped by Jakoh, believing he owed Kenshiro a debt. After his death, Asuka gives her father's gloves to Kenshiro, which he wears for the rest of the series (as well as in the OVA series New Fist of the North Star).
