- Ryu (リュウ Ryū)
- A small boy living in Medicine City who is mauled by one of Galf's dogs. A villager intervenes and saves Ryu by killing the canine. However, Galf's minions witness the incident and the villager is executed by the Dog Master for his 'crime'.
TV series
- While originally unnamed in the manga, in the anime he is given the name Ryu.
