- The Shuǐhǔ (traditional Chinese: 水虎; Japanese: シェイフー; rōmaji: Suiko) is legendary beast described in the Compendium of Materia Medica (1578) as living in the rivers of Hubei province. It is depicted in Toriyama Sekien's Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki (1779). It is similar to the Kappa of Japan.
