    Shura no Kuni (修羅の国 Land of Asura) is a country in Hokuto no Ken and Souten no Ken. It is the birthplace of the Hokuto and Gento Kō Ken martial arts. Once a part of China, Shura no Kuni became a violent country ruled by warlords. Male Shura receive a spartan upbringing, learning only how to fight and kill. Only 1% of Shura boys reach adulthood.     Caste

    A caste system in in place in Shura no Kuni.

    1. Rashō (羅将): Three warlords that rule the land
    2. Gunshō (郡将): District commanders
    3. Shura (修羅): Main warrior caste
    4. Boro (ボロ) : The lowest caste, similar to the ancient Helots.
