- Koryu (コウリュウ Kōryū)
- A master of Hokuto Shinken who once trained alongside Ryuken, his old rival, but yielded succession to avoid the tragic destiny of Isshi Sōden. He is also known as the 'Hokuto Dragon'. To prevent passing down his knowledge, he retreated to the mountains and led an ascetic life. However, Raoh sought him out as the perfect opponent for his comeback fight. After Raoh defeats him, he meets Koryu's two sons, Zeus and Aus, and takes mercy on them after they attempt to avenge their father. As a parting gift, he tells them to choose different paths or face the same tragic fate (a reference to his own destiny with Toki),
