Gaoh (我王, Gaō)

A rival warlord to Ken-Oh, originally mentioned in the Ten no Haoh manga, he only appears in the anime adaptation. He is the philandering ruler of the impregnable Black Steel Castle (黒鉄城, Kokutetsujō).

After withstanding a siege from Ken-Oh's army for over a week, Gaoh conspired with the neighboring kings who'd sworn fealty to Raoh to turn on their liege. He also wanted Reina captured alive in order to observe her beauty.

However, Sakuya devised a plan to take the castle for Raoh in one night. She successfully infiltrates the castle and seduces Gaoh, despite the misgivings of his general, Habaki. She then lures Gaoh to the window, where Reina shoots him with an arrow. After Gaoh's death, Habaki assumes command of the castle's defenses, but dies fighting Raoh and his army take advantage of the chaos to seize the stronghold.
