Juza was Yuria's childhood friend and wished to marry her, but his dreams were crushed when he discovered she was his half-sister from the same father. As a result, he descended into a reckless life of promiscuity. The Gosha Sei believed Juza was the only one capable of stopping Raoh, but being a free-spirited man, Juza did not wish to fight him for the sake of the Last General of the Nanto Roku Seiken. This was until he discovered her identity was none other than his beloved Yuria. With renewed purpose, Juza rode into battle against Raoh, who he had known since childhood. Juza was always the perfect foil to Raoh's serious demeanour, and Ryūken once said that the two of them were equals.

Juza was famously the first and only man to steal Kokuoh-Go from Raoh. Because of this humiliation, Raoh refused to move until his mighty steed returned to him. When Juza eventually returned to finish the battle, he realized the true extent of Raoh's strength and was defeated. However, he still endured Raoh's torture and refused to identify the Last Nanto General before Raoh killed him. Because of his tenacity, Raoh described Juza as "truly frightening" and ordered his men to prepare a honourable burial for his fallen rival.

TV Series
In the television series, Juza has his own gang of punks, who effectively replace Fudou's army in the manga. Juza is captured by the Goshasei when Rihaku's daughter, Tou,  infiltrates his hideout and spikes his drink before they take him to meet the Last Nanto General.

Juza's fight with Raoh is extended in this version. After surviving Raoh's interrogation, Juza evades his deathblow in the manga and continues fighting despite his grievous wounds. Eventually, he succumbs to one of Raoh's secret techniques and dies. Raoh remarks that Juza's body had continued fighting even in death.
