When Toki originally encountered the village, it was ravaged by death and disease, but by using his knowledge of [[Hokuto Shinken]], he healed the sick and revived the village. Because of this extraordinary feat, Toki was worshipped as a messiah and the village earned a reputation for miracles.

After Toki was imprisoned in [[Cassandra]] by his older brother [[Raoh]], the village was occupied by Toki's deranged impersonator [[Amiba]]. The villagers were sacrificed for his cruel experiments, and the remaining survivors became his minions.
