A nameless man from Swany Village who betrayed his home in hopes of joining Souther's army.
TV Series[edit | edit source]
He captured several children to present to the Seitei commander Galzus and the location of his village which was resisting Souther's rule. He later watched with shock when Galzus ruthlessly kills Jay and the rest of Shu's resistance after lowing their guard with his crocodile tears. Nevertheless he joins with Galzus on the attack on his former home.
When Kenshiro defends the town, he captures the recruit and uses him as a hostage to help him find the rest of the group holding the children hostage. When Kenshiro tracks Galzus to the lake, the recruit escapes and rushes ahead into the lake to rejoin Souther's army only to get killed by a trap meant for Kenshiro.

- The new recruit appeared to initially possess some measure of morality as he briefly asked Galzus that the children won't be hurt too badly and showed horror at Galzus's brutal method of killing. Nevertheless he ultimately gives in to his greed during the attack on the village, gleefully pilfering food and partying with the Galzus's group. Thus this character could be said to represent many of the individual soldiers within the Seitei army.
