-Rei's introduction in the movie is simular to the anime and manga, but deals with one bandit. While searching for the Man with Seven Scars ( In the english dub, he refers him as Fist Of The North Star), Rei finds out from Kenshiro that Jagi is the one he is after, so the two men join forces to confront him and recue Airi, who is still a slave to Jagi. When they do reach Jagi's fortress, Airi does'nt recognise Rei's voice and can't see due to her blindness, much to Rei's Shock. After Rei recues Airi and Kenshiro killing Jagi, Kenshiro uses Hokuto Shinken to restore Airi's mind, but this time cannot restore her eye sight, and it was the plant Lin had after being given to Kenshiro that restored her eye sight, and both she and Rei are reunited. To Thank Kenshiro for his help, Rei goes to join Kenshiro on his jouney to recue Yuria and restore the earths inhabitants. He is left looking after Bat and Lin while Kenshiro recues Yuria from Shin, which the three of them would to travel to Cassandra. Lin would then discover that Yuria is held captive by Raoh, and after she and Bat break in to give Yuria the flower, Raoh discovers the flower and holds an execution for her the next day if the one who gave her the flower does'nt come forth. To protect Yuria from execution and to repay his Debt to Kenshiro, Rei sacrifices his life to challenge the mighty conqueror in Ken's absence, he also tells Lin to take care of herself as there is new word waiting for her. Rei gets over-powered byu Raoh and after using his ultimate technique to finisgh him, he is blocked by Raoh's cloak which he then stabs him with his finger. Rei dies immediatly instead of dying a horrible death in three days, but he has the enough strength to ask Kenshiro to defeat Raoh and live for the sake of the children, for Yuria, and the ones he loves dear to him.

But this time he was unable to heal her eye sight, but it was the flower Lin brought after Kenshiro gave to her that restored her eye sight and she and Rei are Reunited. After Joining Kenshiro on his quest, Rei travels to Cassandra with Bat and Lin while Kenshiro goes to recue Yuria from Shin. However Lin discovers that Yuria is held captive by Raoh, and after she gives her the flower while breaking in, the mighty conqueror holds an execution for Yuria if the person who gave her the flower does'nt come forth. To protect Yuria from execution and to repay his debt to Kenshiro, Rei sacrifices his life and fights Raoh during Ken's absence. But Rei was soon over-powered by Raoh and after being stabed in the vital point by Raoh's finger, Rei dies immediatly instead of dying a horrible death in three days. But before dying, Rei had the enough strength to ask Kenshiro to defeat Raoh and live for the sake of the children, for Yuria, and for the ones he loves dear to him.
