: The Second Rashō and Kenshiro's biological older brother. As a child, he entrusted Raoh to protect the baby Kenshiro when they were leaving the country, while Hyoh remained in Shura to learn Hokuto Ryūken from his master, Jukei. Hyoh was infused with knowledge of the original Hokuto Sōke no Ken style as a child, but Hyoh refused to use this style, preferring for Kenshiro to learn it in his place. Because of Hyoh's compassion for his brother, Jukei attempted to erase his memory of Kenshiro to prevent any weakness, leaving a small x-shaped scar across his forehead, an event that Jukei would regret doing.

Hyoh was infused with knowledge of the original Hokuto Sōke no Ken style as a child, but Hyoh refused to use this style, preferring for Kenshiro to learn it in his place. Because of Hyoh's compassion for his brother, Jukei attempted to erase his memory of Kenshiro to prevent any weakness, leaving a small x-shaped scar across his forehead. An event that Jukei would later come to regret.

: In reality, Hyoh only pretended to have his memory erased from Jukei, and it was a young Kaioh who actually erased Hyoh's memories after finding out the truth. After the nuclear holocaust, Hyoh let Kaioh become the new ruler of Shura, while Hyoh settled for being his second-in-command. Hyoh is romantically involved with Kaioh's sister, Sayaka, but Kaioh kills her and lays the blame on Kenshiro, turning Hyoh into a demon. Hyoh challenges Kenshiro to a fight to the death, but regains his memory thanks to Shachi's intervention and comes to learn the truth about Sayaka's death. He swears to kill Kaioh, but ultimately forgives him due to their deep friendship. He dies from the injuries sustained after destroying Kaioh's elite army of three hundred men, but acknowledges Kaioh as a true friend despite his crimes. Kaioh then cremates himself and Hyoh as a goodbye sign.
: In reality, Hyoh only pretended to have his memory erased from Jukei, and it was a young Kaioh who actually erased Hyoh's memories after learning the truth. After the nuclear holocaust, Hyoh let Kaioh become the new ruler of Shura, while Hyoh settled for being his second-in-command. Hyoh is romantically involved with Kaioh's sister, Sayaka, but Kaioh murders her in cold blood and frames Kenshiro, unleashing the full power of Hyoh's Matōki. Hyoh challenges Kenshiro to a fight to the death, but regains his memory thanks to Shachi's intervention and accepts the truth about Sayaka's death. He swears revenge on Kaioh and fights through three hundred of Kaioh's elite soldiers but is mortally wounded in the process. However, Bat arrives on Kokuoh and escorts the dying Hyoh to the final battle.

: When Hyoh arrives, Kaioh has already been defeated by Kenshiro. However, Hyoh cannot deliver the final blow and instead forgives Kaioh for his heinous crimes, blaming his own weakness for everything that's happened. The two of them make peace and Hyoh dies in Kaioh's arms. Kaioh then cremates himself and Hyoh in a geyser of lava as a farewell act.
