The story is a spinoff to the original ''[[Hokuto no Ken|Fist of the North Star]]'' by [[Buronson]] and [[Tetsuo Hara]]. It centers around a new character Garuda who practices the "Nanto Shintori Ken" style of martial arts. In the manga he will fight the five [[Nanto Goshasei]] members, impress [[Rihaku]] and provide a chance for [[Kenshiro]] and [[Yuria]] to unite.
