Toyo: Difference between revisions

Nicknamed "Grannie", she is the woman that raised the young [[Bat]] among other orphans. Although, she may not seem to get along with Bat, the two are very fond of each other in reality. She tries to dig out a well at her village, but isn't successful until [[Kenshiro]] arrives to break off the rock plate that's blocking the water. After Kenshirō leaves, [[Jackal]] attacks the village and takes Toyo and the orphans captive. Kenshirō comes back and rescue them, but she dies from the stab wound given by Jackal. Before dying Bat finally shows his true feeling to Toyo by calling her "mother", she passed away with a smile on her face.

In the anime she tries to save one of the orphan boys running in a panic from having a dynamite stick attached by Jackal's henchmen. She successfully manages to throw it away but is affected by the explosive shockwave. Bat tearfully tells her he wanted to return when had a fortune on his hands, to which she was aware and praises him for his kindness. She soon passes away afterwards, prompting Kenshiro to avenge her.
