The Hokuto Shinken Succession Dispute
Kenshiro rescues him from Cassandra and Toki joins him in his battle against Raoh. Toki attempts to fulfill his promise as an adult, seeking to stop Raoh from using Hokuto Shinken for his own gain. He would have defeated Raoh had it not been for the illness that had debilitated his strength, but as such he was defeated yet spared by his older brother. He would spend his few remaining days healing the sick, until a confrontation with Ryūga led to his death. As he embraced his death, he told Kenshiro to "turn sorrow into anger."

Fighting Style
Toki is a devoted master of Hokuto Shinken and possesses an intimate knowledge of the keiraku hikō. Despite his pacifism and dedication to medical study, Toki can still use Hokuto Shinken with deadly purpose. His Hokuto Ujō Danjin Ken attack inflicts a violent death, albeit with a euphoric side effect in the process.
While his brother Raoh's "hard style" meets force with greater force, Toki's Jū no Ken (柔の拳, Fist of Gentleness) uses the opponent's force against them with great dexterity. It's because of this natural ability that Toki was originally a frontrunner for the title of successor.
