'''Denshōsha''' (伝承者) is a term used to designate the successor of a martial arts school.[[Hokuto Shinken| Hokuto Shinken]] follows the code of '''Isshi Sōden''' (father to son) which means this title has greater importance, since there can only be one successor for each generation. The 108 schools of [[Nanto Sei Ken]] have practitioners for every discipline, but only one who qualifies as denshōsha - with Souther's [[Nanto Hōō Ken]] being the exception, since only its successor can practice the style.
