To extend the first arc of the TV series, the King organization was expanded from its manga counterpart. We are introduced to [[Balcom]], the general of Shin's army, and [[Joker]], Shin's right-hand man and informant. Furthermore, villains from the manga such as the [[Colonel]], his God Army, and [[Jackal]] also become affiliated with the King Organization. Shin also boasts a large military arsenal at his disposal.

Towards the end of the first arc, Balcom took advantage of the unrest in Shin's army and launched a mutiny. However, this was thwarted single-handedly by Shin, himself, who killed Balcom but couldn't prevent the rebels destroying Southern Cross. After the city's destruction, only a small private guard remained by Shin's side.
